Job overview:  

This is a critical role within the marketing team, ideal for a creative individual with the desire to develop what we do and come up with new ideas. You will maintain and develop our events and sponsorship presence, organizing our attendance at boat shows, sponsorship commitments and water sports events. This role is an important coordination role that ensures the best success for all our local and international partnerships. Suitable for an individual that has a passion for water sports events, with exceptional organization and full of ideas and ways to engage audiences through events and sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on maintaining and developing our sponsored athlete and ambassador program, working with ambassadors for content and marketing activities in the promotion of the Rooster brand
• Build on and maintain relationships with all our partnerships, including organizations, class associations, clubs, and centers both locally and internationally
• Be the primary coordinator for our boat show attendances
• Take an active role within our growing custom clothing business
• Work with our Marketing team to develop event marketing strategies and campaign plans and maximise event sponsorship opportunities
• Work collaboratively with in-house teams to generate new sponsorship, partnership, and event ideas
• Manage budgets and report on performance of events
• Be the face of the brand at certain events 

Skills required:

• Excellent organization and attention to detail and consistency
• Comfortable working collaboratively with the team

• Good ability to priorities tasks

Desirable:

• Prior experience in events, sponsorship, or partnerships
• An understanding of sales order processing
• Experience working directly with brands, athletes, and ambassadors
• Knowledge of the sailing/water sports industry
• Good project management skills
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator – or happy/willing to learn a bit, it will not be too in depth
• Ear-to-the-ground understanding of what’s relevant in popular culture
• Knowledge of the Rooster brand
