Trolley sling

The last trolley sling I had was made of carpet and lasted some years, the new one is made of a different material, my concern is how long lasting it will be? Perhaps Rooster could come back and tell me what material it is made of and whether it will last longer than the last one

The previous carpet material used could possibly hold/retain moisture/water and hence cause issues to a GRP hull surface. The current material is a polypropylene based fabric, which does not retain moisture so much, unlike the carpet version. In our tests, we have had the current supplied sling on a Laser for approx. 3 years and shows no significant deterioration.

I've been looking for something like this for a while. As someone who launches off a ramp rather than floats off this will hopefully make life a bit easier and save the gunwales. My only gripe is the quality of the sling material it could be stiffer and more durable. Still highly recommended and a good innovation.

Have used the Trolley sling for a year or so, this has made it so much easier for me to get my Laser safe on the dolly when there are waves, before it was hard to get the boat properly at the gunwhales, when using the sling then it is easy, pull the boat at the dolly and pull the dolly in and the boat centers by itself.... when the boat is safe onshore then I release the sling again so that the Laser now rests safely at the gunwhales.
